    Both CCNA and CCNA Routing & Switching are networking certifications provided by Cisco. However, they certifications differ in terms of topics covered and the difficulty in examinations.

    CCNA certification exam is conducted for 90 minutes and you'll be asked around 50 questions about various networking and network troubleshooting. If the candidate require more time to complete the exam, he/she can ask for 30 minutes grace time from the examiner.

    CCNA is a renowned certification which is valid almost across every IT company around the world. Every certification has a validity of 3 years after that it expires. The candidate can apply for recertification exam to renew the certification.

    • You'll get 50 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. You cannot exceed the time limit after the grace time.
    • Once you've chosen/given the answer, you cannot go back and review them. (So, review thoroughly before jumping to next question.)

    Since you're bound to finish the exam within 90 minutes, it is very important to have a time limit set for yourself while answering the questions in CCNA exam. Usually, you'll get 3 or 4 sets of questions in the exam, it is very safer not to spend more than 15 minutes for each set of questions.

    There are five certification levels - Entry, Associate, Professional, Expert and Architect; and nine subject themes divided among these levels - Routing & Switching, Design, Security, Service Provider, Service Provider Operations, Data Center, Voice, Wireless and Video.

    Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) perform the following post-sales responsibilities: system implementation services in small to medium networks, engineering an IP addressing plan, creating configuration files, and creating the test-bed and staging areas for platform development. Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP focuses on pre-sales support in the following areas; design and configuration of complex routed LANs, WANs, and complex switched LANs.

    Basically you need router, switch, firewall, AP (Access Point) or router equipped with AP antennas to practice on.
